Deb Timmerman is a Registered Nurse, and Stress Management Strategist, passionate about sharing the neuroscience of stress and stress survival skills with kids, teens and adults. As an experienced nurse manager, Deb designed and implemented complimentary therapy and self-care programs for nursing teams, long term care and hospice residents. Now she shares those tools with the world.
Trained as a Community Champion Trainer for the MI ACEs Initiative, Deb helps build statewide awareness of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study and the role Adverse Childhood Experiences play in increasing physical, mental and behavioral problems later in life. Her passion to share this program comes from personal experience.
A regular presenter for Metro Health-University of Michigan Health Live Healthy Program, Deb creates and leads workshops on mindfulness-based stress reduction, meditation, aromatherapy and stress management strategies.
Deb has met the requirements of education, training and experience to achieve the designation of Diplomat through the American Institute of Stress, has co-authored stress education curriculum for elementary aged children. She is a Certified Practice Leader for the Tai Chi Easy® Program.
Recently, she was one of forty international professionals selected to participate in an American Institute of Stress certified Stress Mastery Educator Certification program.
She fills the role of Board President.
Charlotte is the West Michigan Chapter Development Specialist for Woman's Life Insurance Society. She helps helps women develop their networking skills, connect to form chapter and host fundraising events that support area non-profits. She is a change-agent with a passion for kids, parents and the community.
